Complementary Therapies Consortium
Interest in holistic therapies has never been higher, so it’s no surprise that the complementary therapies tent has become a popular feature of the East Barnet Festival.
The Complementary Therapies Consortium (CTC) which provides its services there, is a multi-cultural, not-for-profit loose co-operative of 16 practitioners whose skills and training cover a wide range of therapies.
Its philosophy is to make these demonstrably holistic treatments available wherever they are needed. Currently, this includes providing clinics specifically for National Health Staff at three North London Hospitals – Finchley Memorial, St. Ann’s Tottenham and Edgware Community Hospital, and most recently at Canning Crescent Health Centre, Wood Green. CTC also offer a mobile home-visiting service throughout North London and a Corporate Service for Companies.
Members of the CTC are particularly interested in developing their services in the area of Mental Health where the beneficial effects of Complementary Therapies have been seen and the Consortium is actively collaborating with social and medical workers in this field.
The CTC also operate a monthly clinic in Whetstone at which a variety of therapies are offered – Shiatsu, Aromatherapy Massage, Dream Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Reflexology, Indian Head and Shoulder Massage, Reiki plus others.
So if you are feeling a little stressed and strung out, or even if you are not, don’t miss the opportunity of enjoying some relaxation in the CTC Tent at the Festival. Jeremy Beadle did, as he toured the field opening the 2001 event, and described his treatment as "excellent".
So, to book your appointment or for more information, contact Judy Moore, the CTC Co-ordinator by calling telephone number: 020 8361 6255 or by email: Sacredhorizons@lineone.net, who will be happy to help.
